I guess a control-Z wouldn't do?

Subject: Pausing a Scan in Nessus 3.0.5
Hello
Would anyone be able to help, I am trying to be able pause scanning from the command line. I know this is a feature with the GUI clients but I wish to be able to pause scanning for a period of time when running automated scans.
Is this possible and has anyone written a custom script to do this?
If so, in what language is it and how much effort and would you share it with the group?

Many thanks
Keith
