Problem with Nessus console

Subject: Problem with Nessus console
Date: Wed, 14 Feb 2007 17:43:14 -0500
hello everybody...

i run the latest and greatest nessus server software and I have created a
task to scan a class B target.
the problem is that according to the log the console is trying to send to
the server not the aggregated class B network (192.168.0.0/24), but every
host resulting in one very long statement that the server rejects...

here is a cut/paste from the server.log:

[Thu Feb 08 15:45:32 2007][7128] user xxxxxx starts a new scan. Target(s) :
192.168.1.1,192.168.1.2.......... etc...
with max_hosts = 16, max_checks = 10 and safe_checks = yes
[Thu Feb 08 15:50:54 2007][7128] scan.exe closed connection : 109

if i specify a class c network or even 4-5 class c networks- all is good.
i'd rather not have to create a million tasks for few subnets each...

any ideas? am i missing something or targets cannot be large ranges?

thank you in advance

alex
