Re-registration for different installations?

Subject: Re-registration for different installations?
Date: Sun, 28 Jan 2007 15:55:25 +0000
Hi,
I was wondering if I have to register once or for each installation
of nessus. For example I have an installation at home and one at work.
Can I use the same registration for both?

I am unsure as to whether the nessus-update-plugins script or
nessus-fetch binary uses the registration number to keep track of what
I have downloaded. I don't want to think that I have an updated feed
when it's not updating because it thinks I've already downloaded some
of the plugins.

Would it allow me to use the registration key twice?

I have done a google and an archive search but didn't find anything
useful on the details of how all this is handled.

It seems wasteful to keep re-registering if I am just unsure. In fact,
it isn't really a good idea to make people register just to get the
community delayed feed, unless you want to track people that is... but
I'm not sure how much good this does.

What is the right thing for me to do to make sure it is up to date on
the community feed on all machines I run it on?

Thanks

ps. Thanks for the excellent work you guys have done on Nessus, we all
appreciate it out here and I'm sure you guys don't get nearly enough
praise. Keep it public. Keep it used. Keep it real. Thanks again.
