[root@mdscan01 tmp]# rpm -Uvh Nessus-3.0.5-fc4.i386.rpm

error: db4 error(5) from dbcursor->c_get: Input/output error

These errors come from the rpm utility, not Nessus -- it seems like your rpm db is corrupt :/
