smb_enum_services.nasl

Subject: smb_enum_services.nasl
Date: Wed, 10 Jan 2007 16:37:28 -0600
Is anyone having trouble with smb_enum_services.nasl plugin? Our
problems seemed to start after the December Windows patching, but it
could be some other change or some other plugin. Anyway,
smb_enum_services.nasl now does not return the full list of real
services running on the target. Rather, it returns something like this:

Plugin output :

Cdfs [ Cdfs ]
DfsDriver [ DfsDriver ]
Fastfat [ Fastfat ]
FltMgr [ FltMgr ]
WebDav Client Redirector [ MRxDAV ]
MRxSmb [ MRxSmb ]
Msfs [ Msfs ]
Mup [ Mup ]
NetBIOS Interface [ NetBIOS ]
Npfs [ Npfs ]
Ntfs [ Ntfs ]
Rdbss [ Rdbss ]
Srv [ Srv ]

Nessus ID : 10456

Of course this throws off several other plugins that rely on
smb_enum_services.nasl. I've checked the domain account that Nessus
runs with and it still has privilege on the remote computer. Not sure
what else to check.

Thanks,
Kelly
