nessus threads out like mad on my boxes. My educated guess is that it'll
work well on that sort of server. I was just thinking I would upgrade mine
to the most cores I could come up with. getting a new sun like that might be
just the trick

I am trying to decide on a Sun Server (current supported platform here at work) to run Nessus on. Will be running Solaris 10 aswell.

Whats the consensus on something like their T2000 server? Its a single
proc, 8 core, 32 Threads server. Will nessus thread nicely on that? I know
its only single proc but its 8 cores, each core has 4 threads so in effect
its almost like having 32 single thread procs.

Should I be looking for multiple processors more than multiple threads per
core/proc ? Sun offers a bit of both.

What kinds of hardware are people running Nessus on? I am looking to scan
a very large environment, generally from a central location that has full
visibility to everywhere in the network.
