I found an entry in the Nessus archives for extracting the name of a Windows machine out of its registry. I have created an .nasl file and copied it into my plugins\scripts directory which contains all the other .nasl files. Nessus has been restarted and yet this plugin does not appear under any of the "Families" even though it has been set "Windows".

Two things you might want to check -- one is whether you have made any mistakes in your coding. The other is that you've given the alternate plugin unique values for script_id() and script_name().
