I am thinking your using something like Cygwin under windows to do the SSH? If that is correct then your getting a unix like shell, bash or similar and so the Windows checks will not work with that.
You would probably have to reconstruct all the tests, since they use a different mechanism entirely. It might be possible to take the content of the tests and then change them so they are working on localhost once you log in
