Re: nessusrc issue with NessusClient

I have the same "issue".

The NessusClient I use to create a nessusrc, to ensure all plugins are included, and then use it on other machines that don't have any graphical stuff installed.

What I do is start NessusClient, connect to the server, then change settings, and then save a nessusrc file.
If I disable the TCP scan and ARP scan , then save, and then open the saved nessusrc, they are both still set to YES.
But if I change the port range in these settings these do get properly saved in the nessusrc.

Overal it doesn't bother me to much because I go through the nessusrc file anyway, and change these fields.
But it is something that I would not expect to happen.

NessusClient 1.0.0.RC4

Although I saved a nessurc with NessusClient (with ping_hosts = yes),
killed and restarted the NessusClient application and then loaded the saved

TCP Scan enabled in Preferences) and click on "Dependencies" NessusClient
reports that "Ping the remote host is currently disabled".
Why is this not enabled?

I can't reproduce this. Which version of NessusClient are you using? Which [.]nessusrc file have you changed?

Best
