XML Reports via command line

Subject: XML Reports via command line
Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2006 06:59:31 -0700 (PDT)
I want to re-visit this issue. Today I'm running nessus via the command line.
The report is initially saved to NBE format. Then the NBE is converted to NSR,
TXT, HTML, and XML. The XML file contains the scan results, but does not
contain the plugin data.

I need an XML file that contains the plugin data. Would I fix this issue by
creating the report in XML first and then converting to the other formats? If
so, will I lose anything in my other formats by doing this?

Here is why I ask:

"Please note that the XML report usually provides more information about the
scan than the NSR or NBE formats include in the report. Basically, XML is a
merge between the .nbe reports and the .nessusrc configuration file. You won't
get extra verbosity or diagnosis info in the XML report, but you'll know which
plugins (and which version of these plugins) have been enabled during the scan"
