SSH credentials check problem

Subject: SSH credentials check problem
Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2006 14:56:59 +0200
Hi,

having a problem to use the local security checks feature:

the plugin 21745 reports always "it was not possible to log into the remote
host via ssh"

if I then have a look at messages I find "Protocol major versions differ for
(ip-adress): SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_4.1 vs. SSH-9.9-NessusSSH_1.0"

The deamon on the host is configured to only accept Version 2 protocols of
SSH in sshd.conf. I can also read in the Document "Nessus Credential Checks
for UNIX and Windows" from the nessus-homepage that all host-based checks
performed by nessus are done using a SSH version 2 Session.

Can anyone enlighten me? Is it possible to force nessus v3 to use ssh v2?

kind regards
jean paul
