HI, Thank you for the reply Misha. About Retina, actually I like its statistics reports (Top 20 open ports, grouping hosts by vulnerabilities etc.). I am working with trial version of Retina. I wish I could have the same reports with Nessus. I heard Retina relies on banners for stating vulnerabilities and so not so reliable. Nessus also sometimes rely on that but it at least saying that. Also Retina consumes too much memory. I am working with Nessus 3.0.3 both on WinXP and Linux. Do you think I can use xml report Nessus is generating to make statistics like with Retina. I would be happy to have more statistics and charts (Top charts of open ports, Top of most vulnerable hosts etc) with Nessus, so we can continue our discussion on the matter. I think it will be valuable also for the list community. It will be HTML files structure giving on the first page the list of scanned hosts with the number of vulnerabilities (either holes, or warnings or info, not all). Clicking on the link/host IP u go to next level and see details of the scan. It is better than Retina, I think. I used both. If u need to go much further, u need a DB backend and reporting system. We can continue on this matter if u really need more than standard Nessus reports. Good luck Mikhail Utin Rubos, Inc. mutin@rubos.com Rubos is powered by Linux. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kostadin Kostadinov <mailto:kostadinovK@Piraeusbank.bg> To: nessus@list.nessus.org Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 3:09 AM Subject: Making reports with Nessus Hi guys, I am working with a bank and my boss wants to show him reports based on nessus results. Could someone tell me how to make reports with Nessus, for example like Retinas reports. Thank you in advance.
