One way of doing this (for those using the Nmap NASL), download the latest version from the Nessus website (http://www.nessus.org/documentation/), use Nessus to do the TCP scanning and change the Nmap preferences to only do a UDP scan. I would love to write a full NASL but alas I don't have the time with my real job, girlfriend (yes, she's real) and the Inprotect project.
