Re: bind() failed :Address already in use...

hie everyone..!thanks to 'Rev' for replying my
e-mail...!yes, i saw the something like..

        4103 pts1     00:00:13 nessusd
        4128 pts1     00:00:00 nessusd

then i follow the instruction which is look like
this..

[root@localhost lee]# nessusd
All plugins loaded
bind() failed : Address already in use

[root@localhost lee]# ps -e|grep nessusd
 4103 pts1     00:00:13 nessusd
 4128 pts1     00:00:00 nessusd

[root@localhost lee]# killall nessusd
[root@localhost lee]# nessusd -D
All plugins loaded
bind() failed : Address already in use


after i killall nessusd then run the nessusd -D
again...the problem stil occur...bind() failed :
Address already in use.!

Looks like you already have a nessus daemon running.

Try this,

1. ps -e | grep nessusd

if you seem something like

5719 ?        00:00:00 nessusd

then do

2. killall nessusd
3.  ~/nessus/sbin/nessusd -D
