Hi,
I have successfully scanned A Class networks though it does take a while ;-)
and regularily scan B
classes. i think th limiting factor is the amount of time you have available
rather than the amount
of entries you ask nessus to absorb.
Regards,

Tim Bass

Does anybody know what is the theoretical limit on specifying
targets
for a given scan session? For example, in the context of Class C
subnets, how many Class C's can be specified in one host file - 10,
50, 100, 200?

I have used hundreds of individual ip addresses, maybe 2000 at once.

(so, its that 2000 cids/32's?)

My question really is, what type of success have you had with /24s?
Thusfar, I have been able to successfully scan 20 /24s at once. I'm
trying to figure out how far can I push the envelope. Hence if
anybody
has experience that (s)he is willing to share, thanks in advance!
