How does one get a pdf output on NessusClient? Is it native in RC5?
It is available in the GUI dialog. It works if you have the package "htmldoc" installed.
NessusClient, version 1.0.0.RC5 -T : Output format: 'nbe', 'html', 'html_graph', 'text', 'xml', 'old-xml' 'tex' or 'nsr' ???
As per http://mail.nessus.org/pipermail/nessus/2005-October/msg00100.html I have tried to get the cvs build going but it keeps failing on below with both make and gmake on slack and suse10
you checked out CVS HEAD then. RC5 is in the branch for the 1.0 Release. HEAD contains a number of new features, however, not yet declared as stable. First, final 1.0.0 should get out of the door. Well, I work a lot with CVS HEAD and in fact currently there should be not such compilation problem as you report.
-------------------------- comm.o: In function `gui_comm_send_preferences': /usr/local/src/NessusClient/nessus/comm.c:632: undefined reference to `context_sync_plugin_prefs' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status gmake[1]: *** [NessusClient] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/NessusClient/nessus' gmake: *** [client] Error 2 ----------------------------
Maybe your configuration went wrong in some way?
Try with a a fresh checkout, do a "./configure"
and see in your terminal or in config.log for strangeness.
I compiled CVS HEAD on SUSE 10.1 without any problems.
(Same for FC5, Debian Sarge, Windows XP - well XP
is a bit hairy ;-)
Best
