Plugin 22194 requires credentials

Subject: Plugin 22194 requires credentials
Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2006 15:17:47 -0400
My experience with scanning Windows machines for the MS06-040 vulnerability using plugin 22194 is that it only works if valid credentials are supplied for the target machine. I'm scanning from a Win/2K machine. For testing, I scanned a single Win/2K machine selecting only the MS06-040 plugin. Blank or wrong credentials come back saying no vulnerabilities found, valid admin credentials see the vulnerability. I'm a new, non-paid user and list subscriber; the plugin just became available to me today. I found a complaint in the archives about this plugin failing, followed by a request for a pcap of the scan, but no resolution. Thanks.
