Pat, Why are you not just exposing the sever to a on-to-one Nat (Your remote location to the Nessus server and back) and then use the Windows client direct or you could use the Unix client direct as well. The authentication source to the server and the one-2-one Nat denies remote access from anyone else. Nessus Client talks on specific port and can be even further locked-down by hat as well. I'm running the client right from the linux box through the VMWare console (sort of remote desktop, or carbon copy, ...) This is working ok, but the screen refreshes are desperately slow. This is why I'm searching a web interface for Nessus that could be used to set up params, and then launch the scan in the background The only one that appears to do so is Inprotect. Unfortunately, the website appears to be out of business (it redirects to Google) Does anybody have heard of a similar tool ?
