I've been running Nessus 3.0.2 and 3.0.3 just fine on my OSX desktop. I was asked to consider using Nessus on an IP Version 6 network. Since the network packet description is actually different from the normal IP V4, what would be needed to use it on a IP v6 network? Maybe a lot of work, maybe nothing.

Adding IPv6 support requires a decent amount of work -- not too much, but some nevertheless.

To be frank, the reason we have not added IPv6 yet is that we've seen very little demand for it, therefore have decided to postpone this for a while.

People on this list who would *need* IPv6 support should contact me privately so that I can re-gauge what's the level of interest in 2006.

Thanks,
