So you are tunneling NTP (Nessus Protocol) through SSH through an HTTP
proxy? Is that correct? What do you provide to NessusClient currently?

We have to do the same thing occasionally, and we set up an SSH tunnel that
listens on 1241 and forwards the traffic to the Nessus server on the SSH
server side and then just proxy SSH through an HTTP proxy (via CONNECT.) If
the SSH server is your Nessus server than the forward would be to
localhost:1241.

We connect to nessus scanning box using ssh tunnel through a web proxy .
This works for the nessus client .
How to setup nessj to work in this configuration?

All,

Nessj 0.6.0 has been released.
It is available at http://reason.sourceforge.net

Nessj is an application/network security scanner client for Nessus and
Nessus compatible (OpenVAS etc.) servers. In addition to an improved user
interface, it provides session management with templates, report generation
using XSLT including charts/graphs, and vulnerability trending.

What's new?

Name change from Reason to Nessj.
Ownership change from Idealogica to Intekras.
New scanning layout to include errors.
Nessus NBE format import/export feature.
Enhancements to handle possibly corrupt sessions.
XML generation/processing improvements, modifications.
XSLT defined in settings used to render.
Trending chart improvements.

Comments, criticisms, questions, suggestions are always welcome.

John
