What is the difference between "update-nessusrc" and "nessus -pP"?
All I want is to be able to write a script that will:
1) download new plugins via nessus-update-plugins 2) update the nessusrc with the new plugins 3) launch nessus with all safe checks enabled, pings turned off, syn scans enabled, amap enabled, etc.
You can do all of the above with nessus-update-plugins, update-nessusrc, and the nessus client. Take a look at the relevant documention for examples and details.
