Chris,

There will be a forthcoming release of Nessus 3.0.x on Max OSX (with a new
interface) later next month. Do come back and check around. Not sure what
your install issues were and I'm assuming you were using 2.2.x. If you
think they are issues that are bugs, feel free to post for assistance. You
may find that someone else has advice on getting your install to work.

I'd offer an argument against Windows being easier at much of anything but
I'm an equal opportunity OS loather and find each of them inadequate in
their own way. I guess that makes me OS agnostic or perhaps OS
disenfranchised.

Regards,

Reason I decided not to mess with Nessus is I have no programming knowledge
nor have I ever messed with any open source programs. We bought a Mac OS X
since it uses Unix. I know a version of Nessus for this will be coming out
in a few weeks but I am kind of tired of messing with the Mac already
because I don't know Unix enough. The current versions of Nessus you do have
out require so many hoops you have to jump through just to try to install it
I decided not to mess with it. Maybe in a few months I will come back and
see what progress has been made with Nessus and hopefully an installable
version will be available then. The ease of working with Windows
applications has spoiled me.
