Which version of Nessus are you using, by the way?



I'm using Nessus 2.2.6.  I've got 3.0.1 installed as well so I can try
scanning with that as well.  hping2 returned 100% packet loss.

This indeed is a bug in Nessus 2. It will be fixed in Nessus 2.2.7 (to be released in a couple of weeks). I've also modified the plugin to avoid reporting false positives when running under Nessus < 2.2.7.
