I am getting an error when trying to connect with NessusClient... Remote host is not using the good version of the Nessus communication protocol (1.2) or is tcpwrapped.
This used to be covered on Hugo's Nessus FAQ, but it looks like that's no longer available. :-( Generally it arises when either the server is using SSL / TLS while the client is not, or the reverse is true.
How do I disable SSL for nessus daemon?
If you really want to do that, put "ssl_version = none" in nessusd.conf and restart the daemon. But realize that this means traffic between the Nessus server and its clients will be unencrypted and you won't be able to use certificate-based authentication.
