nessus daemon version 3 is running on RH ES4.

NessusWX client cannot connect to server (unencrypted).

However, traceroute and ping to the nessusd host works.
I've tried default port and custom port number, 1241 and 1300.
Is there any obvious settings in Redhat OS that I need to review for this
communication.

Is the Redhat box running a port filtering firewall like iptables by any chance? That could be blocking connections to port 1241/1300.
