Nessus 3.0.1 (Build 114) Hangs

Subject: Nessus 3.0.1 (Build 114) Hangs
Date: Fri, 20 Jan 2006 14:38:36 -0600
I just installed Nessus 3.0.1 and NessusClient 1.0.0 RC4 on SUSE 10.

It seems that if I run NessusClient on one host or run
/opt/nessus/bin/nessus on just one host, it scans the host but never
finishes. It just hangs there. In the NessusClient, both progress bars get
to the end, but it never finishes. Via command line, I can watch the
processes and see the scans running, then completing, but the actual
commands just hangs and never gets back to a prompt.

For testing purposes, I disabled all plugins except the Windows plugins. I
also left all the other options set to the default parameters.

The command I run in the CLI is:
/opt/nessus/bin/nessus -V -c /root/.nessusrc.ms -x -q localhost 1241
USERNAME PASSWORD -T nbe INPUTFILE OUTPUT.nbe

Even though I have the -V option selected, there is no verbose output until
I kill the command.

I do not see anything unsual in any of the log files in
/opt/nessus/var/nessus/logs.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris
