nessus tcp scan causes loss of neighbor relations in ospf

Subject: nessus tcp scan causes loss of neighbor relations in ospf
Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2006 14:52:24 -0500
The scanned system is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 6) with zebra 0.96.2 and ospfd 0.96.2. Nothing shows up in either ospfd's or zebra's log (even in verbose mode). Neighbor relations are lost, but the processes never crash. In fact, ospf relations come back on their own within 3-10 minutes.

Has anyone experienced this problem/found a solution?
