I have Nessus 3.0.0 installed on RHEL4, update 2, on an HP BL25p server with 4G RAM. Patches are completely up2date (pun indented).

I start the nessus daemon with service nessusd start. It starts and runs without any problems. I execute scans against it. Still no problems.

This problem will be addressed in 3.0.1. In the meantime, simply set "auto_update" to "no" in nessusd.conf.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
