I decided to take a look at services running and "lo and behold" Nessus 3.0 is 
starting at startup.

Which explains the error I was getting when attempting to manually start Nessus.

This is a change from Nessus 2.2.6 that I don't recall being stated in the 
Nessus 3.0 documentation.  Not sure why the change to a default auto startup 
rather than a manual startup.  I'll be re-configuring for a manual startup.

Is there another program listening on the default nessus tcp port 1241?
Or nessus is already started, maybe another previous release if you have one

check it out on your machine.
