This has always been the case -- http://www.nessus.org/register/ has  
always redirected to that page (or which links are you talking  
about?). Just enter your email address over there and you will  
receive an activation code by email.

Hm. I remember seeing a PDF with nessus scanner-related license stuff
a few weeks ago, but I have been reading so much legalese in the last
weeks that I might as well be mixing up nessus with some other
product. Thanks for your fast answer, I really appreciate it.

Btw, it would probably be a good idea to offer the plugins license as
a PDF additionally to the text field, and to have the license
versionized. That saves trusting people from reading the legalese over
and over again by just comparing the version number.

I am quite fluent in writing German legalese, but reading it is
exhausting. Reading English legalese is even more exhausting for a
non-native speaker.
