Fedora FC4 Nessus Installation Problems

Subject: Fedora FC4 Nessus Installation Problems
Date: Mon, 28 Nov 2005 15:16:53 -0600
I'm attempting to install Nessus 2.2.6 on a freshly installed Fedora FC4 box
using the shell script provided on the Nessus site:
nessus-installer-2.2.6.sh. [This is a VMWare 5 virtual machine running on a
laptop] I tried the installation first as a normal user with su rights, then
as root, and I still get the same problem when I run the install script:

====
x -- Compiling
./pcap-linux.c: In function 'pcap_read':
./pcap-linux.c:111: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 6 of
'recvfrom' differ in signedness
./gencode.c:83: warning: function definition has qualified void return type
libtool: link: only absolute run-paths are allowed
make[1]: *** [libpcap-nessus.la] Error 1
make: [pcap-make] Error 2 (ignored)
libtool: link: only absolute run-paths are allowed
make[1]: *** [libnessus.la] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
**** An error occured :/
Do you want to save the compilation log to analyze what went wrong ? [y]

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
QCHawk
