What happens when you run ping 172.21.1.1 on the nessus server? You mentioned that you can make a telnet connection to 172.21.1.1 are you talking about telnet to port 23 or another port?I use the standard port 23 for the telnet connection. A ping to 172.21.1.1 works correct.
