It looks like you have installed nessus with the gui. Nessus is saying
that it can't open your display, try starting x first

/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs start
Startx

Then start nessus in a shell window

Subject: Error when starting Nessus

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to Nessus. I just installed on a Suse Linux 9.3 box. It
installed OK but when I try and start it, I get the following error;

xxbbr@scan:~> nessus &
[1] 5190
xxbbr@scan:~>
(nessus:5190): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

What does this error mean? Is there any way to correct it?

Thank You,
