I'm not clear... where exactly are you specifying
these options and
which client are you using? Also, If you've modified
nessusd.conf, have
you restarted nessusd after that?

I use: 
-Nessus Scaner version 2.2.6 for Linux, runed on
Slackware Linux
-Nessus Console for Windows 1.4.5
-Nessus Client for Linux

I added to "nessusd.conf" line:
"unscanned_closed = yes"

I restarted nessusd after that.

I tried to run Nessus TCP scan with "Specyfi Range"
field set to "10001". Nessus scaned all known services
and port 10001. How can I reduce number of scanned
port?
