This error message comes from OpenSSL. For some info on the problem, look at this: http://www.mail-archive.com/openssl-users@openssl.org/msg40165.html I don't have any idea what's causing the issue in this case, although since it appears sporadically, I'd probably look first at the network itself. And if that doesn't lead you anywhere, try asking on openssl-users@openssl.org.
