NessusClient 1.0.0.RC1

Subject: NessusClient 1.0.0.RC1
Date: Fri, 21 Oct 2005 11:01:04 -0400

Hi there,

I'm happy to announce to availability of NessusClient 1.0.0.RC1, a new GTK GUI for Nessus.

NessusClient contains the following features :

- Nicer and easy-to-use GUI
- Support for "Scopes" and "Tasks" which keep track of all the past scans and past plugins settings
- Support for multiple scans at the same time
- Ability to export reports as PDF (if htmldoc is installed)

NessusClient is based on the current 'nessus' client. It has been developped by Intevation GmbH, with some help from Tenable.

In the long run, Nessus 2.4.x and newer should not come with a GUI any more -- just a command-line client.

NessusClient 1.0.0.RC1 is available at <http://www.nessus.org/download/>

Please note that this is a release candidate and therefore may contain some bugs. If you encounter any problem with it, please fill a bug report at http://bugs.nessus.org/ under the category NessusClient.

Thanks,
