Experienced the same problem on a RHEL3 box after running an update for the
plugins weeks ago.

Didn't want to wait for 2.2.6 (as I still had pending scans) so I still got
to use the newer plugins by:
1. Updating plugins in NeWT (9000+).
2. Copying all .nasl, .inc and .nes files from NeWT's /plugins/scripts/ dir
to my Linux box's plugins directory (with proper chmod settings applied).

HTH. Regards,
w.

Didn't get a chance to try that. I removed totally the plugins
directory, and reinstalled the plug ins. Have not run an update. Will
wait for 2.2.6

received error: error in plugin_unlink - args == NULL

Do you still have this problem if you remove the plugin cache (eg,
/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/.desc/) and restart nesssud?
