Alternatives to Nessus, License question

Subject: Alternatives to Nessus, License question
Date: Mon, 22 Aug 2005 17:38:02 +0000 (GMT)
Hi,

just wondered if there are any alternatives to nessus since I'm not that happy with the plugin license - to express it charily. It reads: "You agree to use the Plugins only in conjunction with Nessus or NeWT vulnerability scanner programs obtained __directly__ from www.nessus.org or www.tenablesecurity.com and registered with Tenable ('Registered Scanners')." For my opinion this implies, that I'm not allowed to use my Debian packages retrieved from the Debian servers with these plugins?!

Cheers,
Jochen
