nessus-update-plugins not connecting

Subject: nessus-update-plugins not connecting
Date: Tue, 2 Aug 2005 10:57:02 -0400
Hi

I recently upgraded to 2.2.4 of Nessus. I'm not having any problems
using Nessus (I can scan all my hosts w/o issue), but when I try and
run nessus-update-plugins, I get a message that I can't connect to
www.nessus.org. Here's my output:

# nessus-update-plugins -vv
+ '[' -z y ']'
+ tar=-xvf
+ '[' '!' -d /usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins ']'
++ pwd
+ cwd=/root
+ tmpdir=
+ test -z ''
+ tmpdir=
+ test -z ''
+ tmpdir=/tmp
+ mkdir -m 0700 /tmp/nessus-update-plugins-31909
+ cd /tmp/nessus-update-plugins-31909
+ /usr/local/bin/nessus-fetch --plugins-md5
Could not open connection to www.nessus.org - Operation now in progress
+ echo 'Could not retrieve the plugins MD5'
Could not retrieve the plugins MD5
+ echo Aborting
Aborting
+ exit 1

I can't ping www.nessus.org and I can't seem to get any more
information about why I can't connect. I've searched the
archives/Google/etc. and I dont' see anyone else having this problem.
Where am I going wrong?

Thanks.
