Edit find_ap.nasl in your plugins directory to include WAPs. I've modified mine to include a number of the Linksys WAPs. You'll notice there is a place where it does a string search after connecting to the device (If I remember correctly on port 80). A number of the linksys WAPs are not included .. especially the ones that are Router/NAT/Firewall devices. Most of the WAPs supported by find_ap.nasl are WAP only devices. -----Original Message----- From: Mercer, Jeff [mailto:Jeff.Mercer@itcdeltacom.com] Sent: Thu 7/28/2005 10:57 AM To: George A. Sadly, the results did not appear any different. :( I'll send you a copy of what I got, as well as a copy of the Nessus config that was used.

I'll try compiling anew version fromsource and see if that helps.Nmap is identifying your Aironet as a router instead of a wireless access point, and that prevents find_ap.nasl from working in your case. The nmap upgrade should resolve this as the current nmap-os-fingerprints file does have support for various Aironet devices.
