Does it just report "Cisco IOS" or is there something else,
like a model
number?

"Nmap found that this host is running Cisco 801/1720 running 12.2.8 Seq
Index: 9999999 IPID"
That's on one device. None of the other ports really give any info. For the
other device, the webpage scan does show something:

"The remote web server type is :

cisco-IOS

Solution : We recommend that you configure (if possible) your web server to
return
a bogus Server header in order to not leak information."

I'll send you a copy of the full report separately.

Also, which version of nmap are you using? If older than 3.75, try
upgrading as there was a significant improvement on OS
signatures made then.

Hmmm, looking it IS quite an old version, 3.0. I'm just using the stock nmap
that came with Yellow Dog Linux 3.0. I'll try compiling a new version from
source and see if that helps.
