Scan despite dead host detection?

Subject: Scan despite dead host detection?
Date: Wed, 27 Jul 2005 10:57:39 +0200 (CEST)
Hi,

I am trying to convince nessus to perform all (or at least most) of the
tests despite the dead host detection. The test usually involve test
against a firewalled environment so I know dead host detection is nearly
impossible to perform.

I have been digging into the knowledgebase and disabled various tests like
ping_host.nasl (10180) but it still does not test as much as I would like.

Is there a way to perform a full analyses with just nessus?

If not is there a way of running nmap first and feed the output
automagically to Nessus? After all I do not like to stay in the office
untill 21:00 just to start up some test when you have cron jobs.

BTW: The nessus scanner runs headless so it's all done through config
files and scripts.

Hugo.
