Hello,
I've a problem with latest version of Nessus and any previous version too. Presently I'm using version 2.2.5 and I've compiled from source. Compiled and installed with success nessus-libraries, libnasl, nessus-core, and nessus-plugins. Once compilation was done, I've created a user and passwd with the 'nessus-adduser' command with success. Loaded Nessus daemon without SSL support to avoid the steps to create certificate at this time, and tested if I can connect to it localy and remotely, since now everything is going well, I can connect localy or remotely. Therefore I decided to start a scan on one host (172.16.1.1) and this take a days and doesn't finish to execute. I used the following command line to do it from command line -> nessus -q localhost 1241 username passwd targets.txt result.txt. The command never finish even after 4 days!! on ONE host only, so I presume there is a problem here and decided to do it again (the scan) from a GUI software on Windows. The result was the same, never finished to execute after 4 days!!!
Does someone here know what is going on, what is the problem?
Hi Gerhard, Did you look in the nessus logs?
