You need to set up proxy support for nessus-fetch instead. You'll need
to create a file named "nessus-fetch.rc" in the same directory as
nessusd.conf (/usr/local/etc/nessus by default) and add settings
suitable for your proxy; eg,

       proxy=192.168.0.1
       proxy_port=3128
       proxy_username=renaud
       proxy_password=s3cr3t
