If you are using sarge then just point your /etc/apt/sources.list to 'testing' then:
- apt-get update - apt-get install nessus nessusd
If you don't want to run an etch/testing installation on your system. Use 'debootstrap' to create a chroot in your server with a 'sid' installation with no services at all, chroot into it, install nessusd 2.2.4 and use your nessus 2.2.3 client from stable against the server from unstable (running in a chroot).
