anybody knows if there is a compiled linux version of nessus bootable from a cd-rom or a dvd-rom? I am looking for a simple, ready-to-use version of nessus in order to use it on a computer without operating system.
the german federal office for information security just made
public the results of the BOSS project in form of a live
CD demoing the use of Nessus.
www.bsi.de/produkte/boss/index.htm
Note:
- It contains the GPL Plugins only, so is not intended
for real production mode - it is a demo that describes the idea,
necessity and a nice tool of/for network security scanning.
- It is in german language
- It contains Nessus HEAD which has a new GUI but
is after all a development version.
The CD is distributed on LinuxTag in Karlruhe, Germany this month.
