| Subject: | Performing a Network Discovery scan with Nessus |

Are there any references or articles on the best way to perform a network discovery with Nessus? By comparison, if I wanted to conduct a VA scan just for one particular OS I would have a better idea of the plugins to use. I'm after a (relatively) quick & non-intrusive scan of local and remote subnets (some slow links). I've picked up the Syngress "Nessus Network Auditing " book, which is good, but I'm after configuring Nessus just for discovering devices that can be VA scanned by their respective check/plugins. TIA Ray
