Can someone tell me
where I can learn more about NASL and writing Nessus
scripts?

"Nessus Network Auditing" from Syngress dedicates a chapter
to NASL and plugin writing and also contains the reference
manual Michel mentioned earlier in one of its appendices.
[Note: I'm one of the book's authors.]

plugins-writers@list.nessus.org is a fairly low-traffic list
for those working with NASL.

Other than these and the secguru.com tutorial, you may want
to simply dive into some of the scripts for applications /
services / protocols in which you're interested and play
with them.
