nessus: Gtk-warning: cannot open display error

Subject: nessus: Gtk-warning: cannot open display error
Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 11:48:30 -0700
I'm running FreeBSD 5.3 on my HP omnibook and can successfully connect
to nessus with the userid i have added if I connect to it via
NessusWX. However, I want to get into more customized scanning via the
type of customization that only comes from doing command line scans.
However, when I try to run "nessus" from the command line, I get the
following error message:
(nessus:13379): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I know that I have gtk installed as I also run KDE on this machine.
Anyone have any ideas why this would be giving me this error: When I
run "pkg_info | grep -i gtk" I get three responses:

gtk-1.2.10_12: Gimp toolkit for X11 GUI (previous stable version)
gtk-2.4.9_1: Gimp .... GUI (current stable version)
gtk-qt-engine-0.3 The GTK-QT theme engine blah blah

Any suggestions on how I might be able to fix this? I'd like to have a
config file to be able to go through and start doing more advanced
scans, but until I can run the GUI, i don't think i'll be able to get
where I want to yet.

Thanks in advance.
