as a pointer how to start:

apt-get source the-package

will bring the source to you. Simply
rebuilding is done via
cd the-package
fakeroot debian/rules binary

The Debian documentation explains all the details.


Another thing is that i would like to know whether
nessus has spanish translation or not; if not, how
could i start the translation process?


in HEAD version is a gettext support with german translation.
If you are familiar with po files you should get where
you want.
However: note, that HEAD is experimental status and you
can not rely on support for this version nor is it recommended
to use it for production. Well, in short: Its CVS HEAD ;-)
